Shannon & Jason's Wedding

Accommodations

Possibly the only drawback to getting married in southern New Jersey is that there aren't a ton of hotels around. There are two Marriott hotels nearby, one a Residence Inn and one a Fairfield Inn, and we have made arrangements with both for special rates for our wedding guests.

The block at the Fairfield Inn is under the "Culbertson/Levine Wedding", and the rate is $94/night + tax. The block extends from October 7th to the 10th, but the block expires on September 7th, so make reservations soon!

The Residence Inn traditionally doesn't grant blocks of reserved rooms, so we're particularly happy that they were willing to work with us. The rates we've arranged are for rooms reserved anytime between the dates of October 7th to the 10th; the rate is $119/night + tax, and that is for either a single room or what Residence Inn calls a suite (the same amenities are available in either, and the difference is that a suite has a small space set apart from the main room that might be good for a Pack'n'Play or other kid-friendly sleeping arrangement!). In order to get a room in the block, you have to ask for the rooms reserved under Shannon's name (Shannon Culbertson); if you have any problems convincing the reservations people that such a block exists, you can ask to speak with Anna, the group sales manager at the Deptford location.

(Some of you might have heard us talk about a new Best Western hotel being built close to the wedding location; unfortunately, we drove by at the start of August, and will be very surprised if the hotel is finished in time for the wedding. That being said, if anyone is having problems finding accommodations and wants to give them a call, let us know and we'll give you the relevant contact info!)

And of course, for the adventurous, there are tons of hotels in Philadelphia (about 30 minutes away from Williamstown) and Atlantic City (about 45 minutes away); be aware that the dentists are invading Philly that weekend for their annual conference, and that you can lose (or win!) a lot of money in Atlantic City!
