Air Travel
Williamstown is about 30 miles south of Philadelphia, making Philly the most reasonable destination airport for those people who'll be flying to the wedding. The Philadelphia airport (code PHL) is a hub for US Airways, but also serves pretty much every other airline you could imagine.
We have also arranged a discount with American Airlines for anyone flying to the wedding; the discount is valid for travel into and out of three different airports (Philly, Newark, and Baltimore) between October 2nd and October 16th, and provides 5% off of almost every fare that American offers. If you're interested, you should call the group travel desk of American Airlines at (800) 433-1790 and give them discount code 20H5AN.
One other important note, about Southwest Airlines (which we use every time we fly down for wedding planning!): their fares do not appear in any of the travel booking sites (like Expedia and Travelocity), but are likely to be the most reasonable you'll find, so it might be worth it to head over to their website to investigate! And remember that while Southwest flies into and out of Philadelphia International Airport, in some parts of the country they use smaller, regional airports (for example, we live in Boston but fly out of Providence). So you might also want to check which airports Southwest uses near you.
Car Rental
We have also arranged for discounts with two car rental companies, Avis and Hertz.
Avis: the arranged discount is between 5% and 25% off of the regular Avis rates, depending on pickup location and duration of rental, and remain good between October 2nd and October 16th. If you're interested, you can call the group reservation desk at (800) 331-1600 and give them AWD number J868839. (As an example, using the code on May 14th, we were able to secure a 12% discount on a full-size rental from the Philly airport between October 7th and 10th.)
Hertz: the arranged discounts are listed on this agreement page; in order to reserve with Hertz using the discount, call (800) 654-2240 and reference CV number 01PW0007. (We actually recommend trying Hertz both with and without the discount code -- if available, their lowest prices could be better than the rates we secured!)
